With this pursuit in perspective, WIPRO has instituted the Global 100 Program, where candidates will undergo an 18 months rigorous induction and development journey across various SBUs, Service Lines & Functions and geographies. The idea behind the Global 100 came from a larger collective effort from Wipro's leadership team underpinned by a need to build the next generation leadership pipeline that was diverse and global.

"The world of tomorrow is going to be very different and based on innovation, velocity and diversity. To remain successful, the one thing that can help us is to continue to expand our global footprint and have people who work in countries and across the world who share a common culture and have diversity of thought, diversity of experience and diversity of skills sets. In a way, that is what Global 100 is trying to achieve."

I was particularly drawn to the Global 100 program because of the extensive corporate exposure offered by virtue of the rotations and the opportunities this created in the transition from my career as a corporate lawyer.

Alice joined Wipro following her MBA at London Business School – she was particularly drawn to the rotational nature of the Global 100 program and the prospects this offered in her transition from a career as a corporate lawyer. Since joining, Alice has worked on projects in the UK, Australia, India and Finland and has spent time in Sales, Pre-Sales and Delivery, as well as with the HR and Legal teams. The Global 100 program has offered extensive exposure to the day-to-day functioning of a multi-national IT company, as well as insight into organizational decision-making, access to senior management and an appreciation of the role played by core business functions. Above all, Alice has relished the opportunity to learn in an incredibly supportive environment and with a cohort of like-minded MBAs embarking on the same journey.

MBA 15

The G100 represents a unique opportunity for working in a very innovative and fast changing sector, getting exposed to all the areas of the firm and its fascinating challenges.

Born in Oregon and raised in cosmopolitan Hong Kong, Beverly has experienced first-hand the beauty of cultural and ethnic diversity since early childhood. On a professional level, she appreciates the sophisticated thought process and the intellectual rigor required of scientific research. She also enjoys sharing insights with colleagues after overcoming the challenge.

Her innate drive to search for the truth through scientific research buoyed her up in her undergraduate and graduate studies in the United States. Such efforts helped her win various academic honors, on top of a Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry at Washington University in St. Louis, and a Master of Science Degree at UCSD.

Prior to joining Wipro, Beverly worked at the Scripps Research Institute and the UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

An inspiration for professional diversification came to pass in late 2012 when she was hand-picked for the role of lab manager, in addition to her research duties. This experience brought her closer to the world of commerce and provided motivation for her to pursue an MBA degree. It also dawned on her that an excellent business plan is a pre-requisite for extending technological breakthroughs to benefit humanity. In July 2015, she graduated from INSEAD in France and completed an internship with Good Pharma Consulting in Singapore.
