WiSE is the annual summer internship program conducted at Wipro Ltd where interns are selected from premier Business schools for a period of 2 months (from April – June).
Spread over 8 weeks, WiSE program involves close mentoring of the students on the project deliverables by a Guide, culminating into a final review of the project findings and recommendations by the Business Head.
Based on feedback from the Business, the program provides an opportunity to reward a WiSE Cracker award to Best Summer project/s across the BU/Practice and offer pre- placement interviews/offers to candidates based on their performance during their internship period.
Key highlights of the programme are
- B school students are selected from the Top Indian B schools, for projects across Wipro companies (Wipro Infotech, Wipro Technologies, Wipro Consumer Care Lighting, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, WIPRO BPO & Wipro Eco- Energy).
- Objective is to give live projects to the interns, such that that the outcome of the project is beneficial to the business as well as guarantees a rich learning experience for the students.
- Projects areas are typically in the area of Consulting, Marketing, Market research, Business analytics, Operations, Service delivery, Human Resources, Finance, Systems and processes etc.
- Projects are across all Wipro offices all over India i.e. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Gurgaon, Kolkata. In the year 2010, there was a project offered in Australia.
