Wipro
Technologies, in line with its innovative
culture, started a pioneering initiative
in the field of higher education through
WASE - Wipro Academy of Software Excellence
in the year 1995. By giving students the
right kind of training, this program enables
us to prepare some of the best B.Sc, BCA,
and BCM graduates to face the challenges
of the dynamic Information Technology world.
Apart from equipping the students with
necessary platform skills, behavioral skills
and providing live project exposure, this
program provides an opportunity to pursue
an 8-semester (four years) off-campus collaborative
MS Program with Birla Institute of Technology
& Science (BITS), Pilani (Rajasthan,
India).
Eligibility Criteria
The WASE program is open only for
fresh science (B.Sc.) graduates who have
opted for Computer Science/Electronics,
Physics, and Mathematics as subjects and
BCA/BCM graduates. The students with at
least 60% aggregate and with Mathematics
as a subject in their +2/PUC are eligible
to apply for this four-year program.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises
of Aptitude Test & Personal Interview
- The aptitude test is similar to the
GRE/GMAT format
- After each level students with all round
capabilities are selected and informed.
- All selected students need to sign a
bond with Wipro for four years
Induction Training Upon
joining Wipro, students undergo an eight
to ten week induction program prior to being
assigned to the business units.

Semester Details
- Every semester comprises of:
- Four courses
- Sixteen weeks of contact classes
- Four sessions are conducted every week
on Saturday/Sunday
- Every session runs for two hours
- Classes are conducted as per the 'course
plan' prepared by the faculty in accordance
with the syllabus prescribed by BITS,
Pilani. The course plan might change without
prior notice based on faculty availability.
For example a student may have two or
more sessions of the same subject on a
particular day.
- Two make up classes may be conducted
at the end of sixteen weeks to enable
the faculty to handle any syllabus incompletion/cancellation
of session.

Eighth Semester
Devoted to dissertation work as

The schedule and plan is conveyed to the
WASE students from time to time. The faculties
are selected from the local Engineering
Colleges and IT Industries through a very
systematic and stringent faculty evaluation
process.
