  • What is the qualification I need to apply to Wipro Technologies & Wipro BPO?
    You need to be a BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech/ Phd or an MCA graduate to become a software professional at Wipro Technologies. You need to be a management graduate to join Service related jobs. For entry level positions, Wipro recruits candidates from select branches of engineering such as computer science, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics, information technology, information systems & instrumentation as well as MCAs. To apply to Wipro BPO jobs, Candidates with 12th standard pass or 10+3 (diploma from govt. recognised college /school) pass, Correspondence courses are allowed

  • Do I have to be a software professional to join Wipro Technologies?
    At an entry level Wipro does not insist of prior software knowledge since it provides extensive training in software development to new entrants. However for experienced professionals, relevant experience is preferred.

  • What is the recruitment process at Wipro Technologies?
    Applicants with less than one year of experience will have to undergo a written test. Your school/college grades and performance in the entrance exam will be taken into consideration for selection. Experienced candidates will be put on to an interview.

  • How do I apply for a position in Wipro Technologies.
    Wipro encourages you to submit your resume against a current job opening. Click Search Jobs & Apply to view job openings suitable to you. Submit your profile against any one of the available job codes to enable our recruiter to view your profile.

  • What do I do if there is no suitable job code currently? How do I submit my resume?
    If you do not find a suitable job code against which you want to submit your resume you can still submit your resume by using our resume builder. Based on the details given by you, your resume will be retrieved when suitable openings are available. However to ensure higher visibility we encourage you to be updated on job opportunities and manually tag your profile to a suitable job code.

  • Can I apply for more than one job code at the same time?
    You can submit your resume only against one job code at a time.

  • Once I submit my profile how am I kept informed on my application status.
    As soon as you submit your profile you will receive a confirmation mail with your user id and password. You can use this to log into the system and keep track of your resume status. You can also use this to manage your profile by updating it with the latest information and submit your resume for a different job code.

  • What are the training and development opportunities at Wipro?
    Training & Development of individuals is a key focus area at Wipro. Our Talent Transformation Division handles this. For those with less than one year of experience a well-structured induction/training program is conducted. This will cover all aspects of software development skills that are required.

  • Will I have access to other job opportunities within Wipro?

  • What are the criteria for granting stock options under WESOP?
    The stock options for employees are assessed based on the following criteria: Potential of employee to contribute to company performance; Criticality of the employee; Contribution made by the employee towards business results, processes, customer & employee satisfaction, etc. High market value or replacement value of the employee.

  • What assistance does Wipro offer after I join?
    Wipro provides assistance to its new employees in finding accommodations and also helps by providing advances/loans to set-up their homes. The loan schemes are quite unique ranging from loans for house deposits to loans for two-wheelers.

  • What relocation options does Wipro offer?
    Wipro provides relocation benefits only to those for whom the place of posting is different from the current work location. In such a case accommodation for eight days is provided to help the new candidates settle in. Wipro will also reimburse on actuals upto the II AC railway fare from the current work location to the place of posting. Transportation of household goods is reimbursed upto a reasonable amount.

  • Does Wipro allow its employees to take sabbaticals?
    Yes. Wipro has a policy on Sabbatical with the understanding that their newly acquired knowledge will add value to the company and to the role that they are expected to play.

    As soon as you submit your profile you will receive a confirmation mail with your user id and password. You can use this to log into the system and tag your resume to other suitable job requirements in Wipro.

  • If I want to withdraw my candidature from Wipro Technologies, what is the process?
    After you post your resume in our career site you would have received a confirmation mail with your user id and password. You can use this to log into the system and use an option Withdraw – this option is used to withdraw your resume from Wipro Technologies and you will not be able to post your resume again for the next one year.

  • Does Wipro hire people on contract?
    Yes, Wipro has a Global Contract Hiring program which hires technical contractors across all skills and domains. The contractors are hired only through an approved set of vendors who are partners in the Wipro Contract Hiring Program. Wipro is partnered with local partners across all Geographies.

  • Does Wipro contract directly with candidates?
    Wipro does not contract directly with Independent contractors. All direct contractors who are keen on Wipro contract assignments are routed through an approved vendor.

  • How does a candidate apply to work as a contractor?
    A candidate can register online at http://careers.wipro.com directly against the open contract positions </p> . The candidate on selection will be routed through an approved Staffing vendor before s/he starts on the assignment.

  • Why does Wipro hire people on contract?
    • We turn to contracting when we anticipate ups and downs in talent requirements, over a long term
    • Contracting is always used when skills are required in a short time span
    • Onsite contracting instead of offshore can help avoid delays in VISA processing
    • When the supply is short or is not available in India
    • . When the skills required cannot be gainfully utilized after the current project execution

  • What is the duration for contract assignments?
    The contractor duration varies from a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of 3 months. In India, all contractors by default are Contract-2-Hire candidates and after 3 months the contractors are given an option to join Wipro on permanent rolls, based on open requirements or the contracts are extended.

  • How does a Staffing Agency Partner with Wipro for the contract hiring program?
    An agency can register for the contract hiring program online on the Wipro career site at the following URL http://volts.wipro.com/NASApp/com/CN_AgencyRegistration.jsp?CCTW=twtts. The agency is taken through the evaluation process and a master agreement is signed before the agency can start work on Wipro requirements. The Staffing Agency is given a login id and password to view all requirements, submit profiles, schedule interviews, accept work orders, raise invoices, etc. online.

  • What are the eligibility criteria for a Staffing Agency?
    The parameters for evaluating a Staffing Agency are as follows :
    • Number of contractors on rolls
    • Process & Mark-up rates
    • Annual Revenue
    • Ability to source specialized skills
    • Response time
    • Customer referral
    • Flexibility & types of services offered

  • Is there a Master Agreement and what are the areas it covers?
    Wipro and the agency signs a master agreement called the Staffing Agency Agreement. The agreement is valid for a period not exceeding one year and covers

    • Ownership of Intellectual Property Rights
    • Confidentiality
    • Conduct of personnel
    • Term, Termination & replacement
    • Indemnification & limitation of liability

  • Can an Offshore registered agency work on Onsite requirements or vice versa?
