Job Description

Cisco Routing and Switching Lead Administrator

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or higher.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco routing and switching.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, and QoS.
  • Experience with network design and implementation, including LAN/WAN, data center, and cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices and tools.
  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools, such as Ansible, Python, and Cisco DNA Center.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies, such as VMware NSX and Cisco ACI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Network Design and Implementation: Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design robust and scalable network solutions. Implement network configurations, changes, and upgrades to support business needs.
  • Network Maintenance and Support: Perform regular network maintenance and upgrades, including software and hardware updates. Ensure network devices are operating optimally and efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Work closely with other IT teams to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
