Job Description
Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to monitor and incorporate changes in immigration laws for the managed countries / visa types and study immigration norms for Wipro’s entry into new geographies.. The role is responsible to lead a team of specialists who in turn run the business / work visa application process for Wipro employees.

Do
1. Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to immigration across the globe
a. Execute the Global Immigration Policy laid down by Wipro
i. Lead the execution of the immigration policy to ensure that the right quality of information is submitted to the immigration authorities for business / work visas in the managed countries
ii. Monitor the immigration specific legal and regulatory requirements for managed countries to stay updated on changes and thus incorporate these changes in guidelines and documentation norms for business / work permit visa applications
iii. Work on Wipro’s entry from an immigration perspective in new countries by studying the law of the land to get answers to questions like whether a local office is to be setup or not.
b. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
i. Communicate the impact of legislative changes (like the need for a residence permit to start working in a given country) in processes to impacted internal stakeholders like HR and finance.
ii. Liaison with immigration authorities to address some of requests for evidence to ensure timely processing of business and work visas

2. Operational Excellence
a. Process Management
i. Study the visa processing cycle to identify opportunities for improving internal and external processing timelines
ii. Review the documentation laws for different visa types in the managed countries to identify opportunities for reduction in number of mandatory documents
b. Drive compliance with service level agreements
i. Ensure compliance the establish service level agreements for each of the defined processes for global immigration by the processors
c. Automation and MIS
i. Review and update MIS reports showcasing status of business/work visa applications
ii. In collaboration with section head, automate the processes which are non-value added and

a. Resourcing
i. Hire adequate and right resources for the team
b. Talent Management
i. Ensure adequate onboarding and training for the team members to enhance capability & effectiveness
ii. Build an internal talent pool and ensure their career progression within the organization
iii. Manage team attrition
iv. Drive diversity in leadership positions
c. Performance Management
i. Set goals for the team, conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to own direct reports
ii. Ensure that the Performance Nxt is followed for the entire team
d. Employee Satisfaction and Engagement
i. Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
ii. Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
