Job Description

As the functional lead, the Principal Consultant owns and runs the deliverables within the PPM functional area.

 

The individual would lead the module, managing the PPM stream as a small project and be responsible for the overall delivery of the work within PPM functional area, with high client satisfaction. He/she would be involved in the assessment of the client’s business processes, understanding the current business practices, while also driving the discussions in eliciting the future “To-Be” requirements considering the future target operating model of the client. The Principal Consultant is responsible for driving the discussions related to the “To-Be” business process finalisation, helping to resolve any process related and/or technical issues. During the discussions, it is expected to follow the “Why Not” approach, by challenging the process flows of the client and ensure that the “To-Be” process flows adhere to or are closer to the industry practices within the EAM space. He/she should work to identify the potential Gaps that may exist, and define the best fit solution related to the business process as well as the technical set up in the SAP system. The Principal Consultant will be involved in preparing the detailed level plan for the PPM functional area as well as working with the Project Leadership team in developing and finalizing the overall integrated master project plan. The Principal Consultant would also be involved in and providing the needed input related to Data Migration, Testing, Training, Cutover Planning, and Post Go Live activities related to their specific functional areas.

Your working area & responsibilities ͏

  • Overall accountable for the successful delivery of the work captured within the PPM functional area on time and in the expected quality
  • Engage with the client by analysing client’s business processes and defining the best fit solution. This involves the performing the required configuration and working with the team as well as the clients in finding the right solution
  • Maintain and expand client’s contact at high levels and be viewed as the trusted advisor to the customer, demonstrating the ability to connect with customers to discuss industry practices and SAP functionality
  • Take ownership by leading the PPM functional area being responsible for the overall delivery of the work with high client satisfaction
  • Be the “Go-To” person for the PPM area, while supporting the other colleagues in the team in their deliverables
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the detailed plan for PPM for the given scope, deliverables, timelines, and resources. This includes supporting team members in the preparation of individual work plans following the appropriate implementation methodology and the tools used in the project
  • Working with the Project Leadership team in developing and finalizing the overall integrated master project plan
  • Leading the design workshops and detailed discussions with the customer, in business language, and clearly identifying the requirements
  • Analysing the customer business processes and define the best fit solution in SAP to run the specific business processes as well as address the pain points
  • Assigning work and managing the consultants within the stream in the preparation and completion of the Business Process Documents, System configuration along with the Configuration rationale documents, Functional Specifications for RICEFW objects, Functional Unit Testing and related documentation, Test Scenarios and Scripts, Training documentations, Data Migration field mapping documents and any other deliverables within the stream using appropriate implementation methodology and tools used in the project
  • Be involved in and providing the needed input related to Data Migration, Testing, Training and Cutover Planning, and Post Go Live activities related to their specific functional areas.
  • Understand customer requirements and assist in upselling additional business by bringing any opportunities to the attention of the Project Leadership team
  • Continuously develop SAP core skills within the functional and cross-functional expertise and Fashion business as well as domain knowledge
  • Perform any additional duties commensurate with the role, as and when required by the Project Leadership team

Your skillset ͏

  • General degree or equivalent/recognized professional qualifications
  • Formal training/certification in core module of SAP is preferred
  • Experienced with processes around CAPEX projects in asset-intensive industries
  • Principal or Senior Consultant for SAP PPM/PS (EPPM) with necessary adjacent knowledge in SAP FI/CO; respective certification desired
  • Knowledge in SAP EAM/PM and MM is a plus
  • Exposure to SAP BTP (CAP model) desired and experience with UX/Fiori crucial
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes including root cause analysis and optimization in heterogenous system landscapes with focus on EPPM
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, run, and manage blueprint workshops/meetings with internal and external clients
  • Providing a creative source of ideas/solutions to address customer problems
  • Experience with SAP Implementation (Activate) and Agile Methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Ability to articulate ideas and opinions to all
  • stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and work in teams - interpersonal skills are essential
  • Leadership capabilities, result orientation, conceptual thinking, and innovative mindset
  • Ability and willingness to take on new initiatives/technologies
  • English fluency is mandatory
  • German is desirable
