Job Description

About the role

We are searching for a person with deep experience in Enterprise Kafka (not just Hadoop derivates), familiar with Linux operations as well as automation via Ansible, who is self-mo-tivated and wants to expand their skills. In this role, you will be responsible for running and managing our Confluent Kafka Enterprise Platform with a strong focus on driving platform advancements.

How you will get the job done
• working with business and technical teams to provide and enhance Kafka services
• improve systems based on performance monitoring, including trend analysis
• regular review and advancement of Kafka services and automation
• solving day-to-day support issues, incidents and problems
• prioritizing and handling workload effectively
• assisting on-call services

Skills and experience you will need
• fluency in English (spoken and written) at minimum B2 level combined with strong communication abilities
• associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system administration or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of working experience as a Confluent Kafka Administrator of an Enterprise Streaming Platform
• knowledge of automation, scripting, CICD and container platforms
• experienced administrator of RedHat Linux, providing IT infrastructure services
• a drive to learn as much as you can
• highly self-motivated and directed
• great at conveying ones knowledge and training junior team members

 

Nice to have
• proficiency in German
• experience in Java development
• knowledge in OAuth, Vert.x, and Spring Boot

Mandatory Skills: Kafka Integration .
