Job Description

3 Days @ Dublin Client location

Rate: 550 Euros PD

Immediate to 1 Week Notice period only

Oracle JD – 
Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle database systems
Oracle 10, 11g, 12c
Strong Experience in managing large databases, partitioning, Data warehouse experience
Configure / Troubleshoot Oracle replication (Oracle GG)
Hands-on knowledge in Oracle DB Migration
Monitor servers through Oracle OEM
Proficient in backup & restore methodologies, Tuning databases, refreshes, Reorgs and script writing.
Apply patches, Proficient in managing RAC cluster and DataGuard databases.
Coordinate with various teams and customer to schedule database activities
Maintain detailed documentation of DBA processes and procedures.
Experience in executing DR activities, database upgrades and patching along with all the regular database maintenance activities.
Accountable for performance and capacity management for databases
Should have worked with backup appliance zfs & zba configuration
Experience with Linux OS
Remediation of Security Vulnerabilities
Exadata JD – 
Applying QFSP Patches
Proficient with Oracle Exadata machines architecture (x3, x4, x5)
ExaData upgrade experience, Resource Management [ IORM and DBRM], alerts remediation
Upgrade and Patching support for OS, IB Switch, Storage and database nodes
Exadata maintenance (HBA maintenance +power maintenance), Disk maintenance (Cell storage)

Project Activities 
Database version upgrades, Software installation, DB creation, capacity planning, builds, new infrastructure/DB servers' configuration, backup’s, etc.
Project meetings, requirements gathering & providing estimates for project work
Support the release projects from analysis through implementation
Design and Implementation of DB solutions (database server, high availability, replication, DR design etc..) for the projects
Work with data modelers to implement the DB schema changes for projects
Submitting database installation/upgrade summary report to show that new/upgraded database meets MC set standards
Oncall and weekend coverage

Monitoring and Support Activities 
 Monitoring & Troubleshooting warnings, critical/fatal alerts & error messages,
Remedy queues for INC’s
OEM Monitoring
TRT response, triage
Monitoring DB backup’s, performing recovery as required
Performing DB health checks
Coordinating with product vendors for technical cases created
Monitoring space issues & management activities etc.
OS Patching Support – 4 cycles/year
DB patching – 4 cycles/year
Exadata patching – 2 cycle/year
 

Mandatory Skills: Oracle Database Admin .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .
