About the Project
Digital Business Automation is a global function within Enterprise Infrastructure, comprising over 270 staff in 12 countries. The team is responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for several critical products across the organization, ensuring their availability, recoverability, and security. The successful candidate will lead Testing as a practice across the technologies in our Platform, driving the Testing strategy and agreeing on ways to assure, measure, and build quality into every phase of the development and deployment lifecycle. They will solve engineering problems related to testing and quality assurance, developing processes and practices that deliver scalable testing that is fast, frequent, and continuous.
The responsibilities include developing a Testing strategy and ensuring its implementation across Control-M technology, determining tools and approaches for Testing per product, and the automated storing of test output. They will ensure documented Test strategies and test plans are in place, actively maintain existing Test frameworks or help develop new ones when required, and develop Tests that are predictable, repeatable, and implement automated verification of acceptance criteria. Additionally, they will introduce KPIs or metrics that evidence the success of Testing as a practice and agree on appropriate hosting of any necessary Testing infrastructure or software.
The required skills and experience include a Testing background in a fast-paced IT environment, strategic planning, automation tooling, experience with different types of testing (e.g., unit, performance, regression), evaluating the success of implementing testing strategies, effective communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, proficiency in English language speaking and writing skills, and experience working with global teams across geographies and cultures. Optional skills include an understanding of workload automation or scheduling tooling and Managed File Transfer systems1.
