Introduction:

 

Servaada, a Wipro company is looking for a Compliance Advisory Manager for a 12-month FTC (Fixed Term Contract), specialising in pensions, protection, bonds and savings. As the first point of contact for our clients and beneficiaries, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our client.

This role involves working from our London office, home, and occasionally traveling to client site.

Role Summary:

 

You will help to align Compliance initiatives with business objectives, while also handling Compliance generalist responsibilities. This role requires a versatile Compliance professional with expertise in:

  • pensions (individual and group),
  • protection,
  • bonds and saving.

The primary responsibility of this role initially is to support the transition of a new client to the point of service commencement, and then into service delivery to ensure the business remains compliant with its regulatory and contractual obligations.

Joining Servaada as a Compliance Advisor offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to both Compliance initiatives and day-to-day Compliance operations. You will play a vital role in managing Compliance matters, providing guidance to business leaders, and fostering a positive work environment. Your expertise in Compliance will enable you to drive meaningful change and support the overall success of the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

 

  • Provide detailed compliance advice on regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty, compliance culture and conduct risk 
  • Help set all guidance & Policies beyond just regulatory needs
  • Advise on proposed design of Operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) pre implementation and suggest amendments and/or enhanced controls where needed
  • Assist in implementing any changes to SOPs required (and necessary training provided)
  • Deliver regulatory and compliance training
  • Assist with engaging the FCA on variation of permission applications
  • Advise the business on regulatory interpretation as required on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure all required routine training available/delivered as transition phase commences and ongoing for onboarding employees or as annual mandatory training
  • Ensure aware of all regulatory changes that may affect the business, analyse as to effect and possible changes in Operations and ensure disseminated to Management as early as possible
  • Advise on breaches and complaints management
  • Liaise with on and offshore colleagues in same function

Required Skills:

 

  • Previous experience of advising on Policies and SOPs as well ongoing advisory Regulatory Interpretation, covering both Pensions and Retail Investments
  • Expert regulatory knowledge and how regulation applies across relevant business activities and oversight of such
  • Ability to work without supervision and under pressure.
  • Efficient and well organized
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Credible and assertive manner
  • Discretion, tact and resilience
  • Professional manner with the ability to influence and persuade
  • They must be a skilled communicator and able to deal with a wide variety of internal stakeholders
