An Engineer in Edge Infrastructure Connectivity should:
Have intermediate-level knowledge across multiple network practices: routing, switching, wireless, DNS, DHCP, authentication (802.1x and TACACS).
Effectively triage issues across systems in many environments.
Demonstrate creativity and takes initiative in solving complex problems.
Be an implementer in the delivery of complex solutions.
Be an active participant in planning activities.
Follow consistent agile development practices.
Team Overview
Our team collaborates with other teams and engineers to implement, manage, support, troubleshoot, and improve all areas of network connectivity. We also aid application development teams in this same arena. Technology solutions we are primarily responsible for:
Cisco – routers, campus switches, remote site switches and data canter infrastructure; ISE for authentication.
Fortinet – SDWAN.
Juniper/Mist – wireless and remote site switches.
Infoblox – DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
Connectivity – MPLS, DIA, LEO/Satellite, Cellular
OOBM solutions
Other services/technologies: global and local load balancing solutions, security solutions to include firewalls, proxies, VPN, web application firewalls SSL decrypt, network monitor/packet capture analysis and cloud-based computing solutions. Based on expertise and cross-domain knowledge, our engineers work on various squads in remote site connectivity, data center connectivity, cloud connectivity, network security, telecom services, and tools and automation services. We encourage cross-squad participation for improving cross-domain knowledge sets.
Key Responsibilities -
Configures, installs and supports large enterprise platforms/products from start to finish.
Creates and improves internal configurations and scripts.
Configures system automation and/or integrations.
Provides high work quality requiring minimal direction and/or oversight.
Communicates effectively both verbally and written with various leaders, peers and business partners
Participates in production support situations and may lead NOC engineers
Keeps up with industry trends.
Follows and contributes to improvements to best practices and standard operating procedure
Basic Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s or advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, business or related field, OR appropriate industry certification(s) OR equivalent relevant professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of relevant professional experience
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Appropriate industry certification(s) (Examples: Cisco, F5, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
Prior work experience in a large global enterprise (1000+ sites)

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $45,000 to $1,10,000 .
