Role: Linux Admin (Lead Administrator)
Job Description:
Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based server environments for various applications and services.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Linux operating systems, including CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, and other distributions.
• Create and manage automation scripts for server builds, installations, and configurations (using tools like Ansible).
• Troubleshoot and resolve Linux server issues related to hardware, software, and performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design scalable, high-performance server infrastructures.
• Configure and optimize server performance for memory, CPU, and disk usage.
• Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to deploy applications on Linux servers.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all server build processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Strong experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or others).
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Python, etc.) for automation.
• Hands-on experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
• Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
• Good understanding of security principles and experience securing Linux servers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong customer service and communications skills, both oral and written with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

Experience: 5-8 Years .
Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $1,35,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
