Job Description

 

Role Purpose


The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

JD for Oracle L3: (7+ years of experience)

  • Experience in Oracle 10g & 11g & 12c, 19c
  • Experience in Setting up/Configure Oracle databases on Unix/Windows.
  • Experience in installation and administration of RAC
  • Experience in Monitoring, Administrating and Analyzing Exadata and Golden gate setups.
  • Expertise in Oracle Backup & Recovery using RMAN.
  • Experience in Database Cloning or Refresh.
  • Experience in Disaster Recovery solutions such as Data Guard and knowledge of latest versions.
  • Experience in setting up ASM & Migrating to ASM.
  • Experience in Database Migrations/Upgradations.
  • Experience in Patch Management (PSU / CPU / One off)
  • Working knowledge on tools such as Toad, OEM, SQLPlus.
  • Good Knowledge on Shell Scripting
  • Process knowledge on Incident Management & Change management
  • Good Trouble shooting & Performance Tuning skills
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB an advantage.
  • Be able to nurture the Jr. DBAs and guide them during critical tasks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to work with team members located in multiple geographies and time zones
  • Be flexible and willing to work in shifts.
  • Oracle Certification

    • Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxt are well understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below

    • Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
    • Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
    • Proactively challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/ initiatives for the organization or team
