Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage advanced VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of high-level issues involving vSphere, vSAN, and AVS, providing L3 support and root cause analysis.
- Optimize vSAN and AVS configurations for maximum efficiency and performance, including hardware selection, network design, and storage configuration.
- Implement and oversee disaster recovery and business continuity plans for virtual environments, ensuring data integrity and system resilience.
- Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and configuration changes across VMware environments, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Validate and ensure compliance of VMware deployments with company standards and industry best practices using vSphere Lifecycle Manager.
- Monitor system performance, anticipate potential issues, and undertake preventative maintenance to mitigate risks.
- Collaborate closely with other IT departments (networking, security, storage) to ensure that the virtual infrastructure adheres to organizational standards and best practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, processes, and service records.
- Automate routine and complex tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell and VMware PowerCLI to increase system efficiency and reduce human error.

We are seeking a highly skilled VMware L3 Administrator with specialized expertise in VMware Virtual SAN (vSAN) and Azure VMware Solution (AVS) to join our IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and scaling our VMware environments, with a particular focus on advanced vSAN and AVS operations and troubleshooting. This role demands a deep technical acumen, leadership in complex virtualization projects, and a proactive approach to system management.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage advanced VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management, with at least 4 years focused on VMware vSAN and Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
- Expert knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and AVS.
- Strong experience in system architecture design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting at an enterprise level.
- Proficiency in network and storage configurations for high-performance VMware environments.
- Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell and VMware PowerCLI.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience managing complex IT projects.
- Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex systems and technologies to a non-technical audience.
- Relevant VMware certifications such as VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV), VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Data Center Virtualization Design (VCAP-DCV Design), or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) are highly desirable.
