Job Description

Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to drive and improve delivery for domains within the product portfolio by creating the appropriate culture and driving the necessary development delivery to enable partner and client satisfaction

Do

  • Strategize and deploy long-term business capability roadmap for the Product/ IP
    • Keep abreast of the technology trends and the upcoming skill sets in the industry
    • Prepare the Product development roadmap by defining the team structure, roles and skill sets required
    • Highlight investment requirements, if any, as well as the ROI on the investment for the new product development
    • Support the branding/ marketing initiatives to ensure right positioning of the product/ IP by: 
      • Participating in industry forum
      • Driving demos by the technical to showcase product/ IP capability to potential clients
      • Working with Delivery partners to ensure effective product positioning at various platforms/events 
      • Creating collaterals and marketing documents to be shared with the upcoming clients
    • Lead cross functional elements (Development, QA, Information Development, Infrastructure and L3 Support) to manage the full product life cycle
  • Lead and drive a culture of continuous improvement through enhancements in the product to keep the product relevant in the market 
    • Review feedback from customers and partners to identify opportunities for enhancements 
    • Drive the innovation focus within the team to drive product enhancement through
      • Incremental process improvement
      • Increased use of automation and new technologies for effectiveness
      • Ideas and PoCs for new derivative products
    • Develop the quarterly product enhancement plan synthesizing the above inputs 
    • Lead initiatives across development and infrastructure for the product enhancements
    • Drive product enhancements as per plan through 
      • Bi-weekly Manager Meeting for assessment
      • Trial potential improvements and assess results
      • Broadcast, if successful
    • Review and update the quarterly plan to incorporate any changes in the product strategy
    • Prioritize enhancement initiatives by balancing the urgent versus important requirements from the clients/ partners
    • Report Development status to Wipro business at a monthly or appropriate interval
    • Report Development status (Release Plan, top level risks/ issues, process initiatives etc.)  to Business Partner at a fortnightly or other agreed interval
    • Ensure and review the Information Development Document (IDD) are prepared accurately, timely and as per quality standards
  • Drive consistency in delivery for various products across clients 
    • Oversee the validation and delivery of appropriate roadmap content
    • Interact with key clients/ partners to seek feedback on delivery 
    • Maintain and review all Level 3 support metrics within the appropriate ranges such as CritSits, PSIRTs, APARs, Skills Cases and NPS (Net Promoter Score)
    • Manage complex customer escalations, potential risks or early warning signs on the delivery thereby driving high NPS score
    • Develop team structure with right skills and support them in executing product strategies

  • Drive capability development within the team through various training initiatives
    • Ensure fortnightly cross team Product training sessions are conducted to enhance product understanding (ITNM and ITNCM, Level 3, Level 2 etc.) 
    • Drive Technical Level Training initiatives across team to enhance general skills (prompting new technologies, innovation etc.)
    • Lead and review evaluation at the end of Sprint Demo’s / Technical Sessions for new hires to assess their readiness (product understanding, level of confidence) to conduct these sessions independently 
    • Ensure compliance on the mandatory Wipro training for the team 
  • Team Management

      • Hire adequate and right resources for the team  
    • Talent Management 
      • Ensure adequate onboarding and training for the team members to enhance capability & effectiveness 
      • Build an internal talent pool and ensure their career progression within the organization 
      • Manage team attrition  
      • Drive diversity in leadership positions 
    • Performance Management 
      • Set goals for the team, conduct timely performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to own direct reports 
      • Ensure that the Performance Nxt is followed for the entire team 
    • Employee Satisfaction and Engagement 
      • Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team 
      • Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team Stakeholder
