Job Description

CBR: 110  Band-C1-10+ Years

Location: BLR only

WFO: No Hybrid, all 5 days WFO only.

Network Resolution Managed Service

responsible for:

  • Maintaining and supporting the Goldman Sachs global network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshooting, resolving incidents, providing RCA and recommendation to clients.
  • Executing break-fix changes to remediate hardware failure to normalize the environment.

Complete ownership of remediation/mitigation of Sev1, Sev2, and critical Sev3 incidents and client escalations

JD-Production Support

  • Monitor the health and performance of the global network infrastructure composed of routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, proxies, VPNs, load balancers, IPS/IDS systems.
  • Take out the link/circuit/device from production, resolve the underlying issue, and re-introduce it back under the maintenance window.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues, including hardware failures, configuration errors, and connectivity problems.
  • Implement break-fix solutions to minimize downtime and impact to the environment.
  • Possess knowledge of network equipment like routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, VPNs, load balancers, IPS/IDS systems.

Collaboration and Communication

  • RMA the failed devices/hardware with Vendors and in coordination with DCS and application teams replace it with faulty device.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior or new team members on processes.
  • Utilize a broad range of networking technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, network management tools, Pcap Analysis, Fidler.

Basic Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Networking, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues using tools like Wireshark, Fidler, Splunk, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of core network principles, routing protocols, and network security concepts.
  • Experience managing network equipment from leading vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Broadcom, Citrix, Palo Alto, and Zscaler (or similar).
  • A passion for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest networking technologies.
  • This job requires individuals to work on one or both weekends (Saturday & Sunday) as part of the shift assignment.
  • Experience working in ITIL framework.

  • Experience working in the finance industry and an enterprise network.
  • Experience automating N- F is a plus.
