Murex consultant

Role Purpose

The role incumbent is focused on implementation of roadmaps for business process analysis, data analysis, diagnosis of gaps, business requirements & functional definitions, best practices application, meeting facilitation, and contributes to project planning. Consultants are expected to contribute to solution building for the client & practice. The role holder can handle higher scale and complexity compared to a Consultant profile and is more proactive in client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide End-of-Day (EOD) batch support.
  • Production technical issue trouble-shooting (L3). E.g. service health monitoring and recovery.
  • Investigation of EOD batch issues, e.g., batch job failures and recovery
  • Trouble-shooting of infrastructure issues, e.g., CPU, memory, storage or Database bottleneck, etc.
  • Investigation of perform related issues in prod by using diagnostics tools like pstack, jstack etc.

Must-have Skills

  • Solid knowledge in Murex architecture and services
  • Solid knowledge in Murex logging mechanism
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Murex platform L3 support and troubleshooting
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Murex EOD Batches
  • Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Python (for automation or scripting tasks)
  • Ansible (prior experience will be beneficial but not a must have)
  • DevOps tools, e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, et c
