Job Description

Network Engineer 
Location: Chicago, IL 

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Network Engineer.

This role demands a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end networking technologies, encompassing the design, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive network infrastructures.

The ideal candidate will be adept at solving complex networking challenges, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of our network systems.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiar with Nexus 9K, 7k / Cisco 6500 environments and Arista
  • Experience with network operations systems: Cisco IOS/IOS-XE/IOS, Arista EOS
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Network Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of successful network infrastructure projects.
  • Expertise in network architecture and engineering, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, LAN/WAN, and QoS.
  • Deep understanding of Dynamic Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), Switching Concepts (VLAN’s, STP, RSTP, MSTP), and Link Aggregation
  • Proficient in network automation tools and scripting languages such as Github, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills & analytical thinking and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and Visio skills.
  • Adaptability and Continuous Learning.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS) are highly advantageous.

 

Mandatory Skills: Network Automation .

 

Experience: 5-8 Years .

 

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $1,35,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
