Global Account Executive - Energy/Resources (Houston)

Join Wipro’s Energy, Manufacturing, & Resources Sector, a visionary leader in providing innovative IT services and solutions designed to drive transformation within the global market. In the dynamic environment of Houston, TX, we are looking for a Global Account Executive (GAE) who will play a critical role in managing strategic accounts within the Energy & Utilities sector. This position requires an adept professional who excels in building and nurturing C-Level relationships and who possesses a profound understanding of industry-specific challenges and opportunities. The GAE will spearhead sales initiatives, strategize account management, and be accountable for the growth and profitability of client accounts, ensuring alignment with Wipro's ambitious business objectives

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing comprehensive sales management for the account, while nurturing all executive relationships and engagement strategies.
  • Managing the full P&L for the account, with an emphasis on driving financial performance and accountability for a portfolio exceeding $35M US.
  • Strategically leading account teams to achieve significant revenue growth, setting and exceeding ambitious financial targets.
  • Identifying and prioritizing new service opportunities and transformative project rollouts, ensuring alignment with client needs and market trends.
  • Structuring and negotiating high-value deals, leveraging expertise in industry trends and technological advancements to seize competitive advantages.
  • Developing and executing strategic plans that drive change management and maximize growth potential while enhancing client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Fostering trusted advisor status with C-level clients, providing insights and guidance that enhance decision-making and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitoring performance relative to set objectives and communicating progress with client teams while celebrating achievements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners to unlock new business opportunities and enhance service delivery.
  • Managing intricate operational activities associated with the account while ensuring continuous focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 15 years of proven experience successfully selling IT portfolio services to CXO-level clients within the Energy, Resources, or Utilities domain.
  • Demonstrated track record as a direct owner of P&L, with experience managing a client portfolio of at least $30M, driving substantial growth and profitability.
  • Extensive experience across various IT service lines, including but not limited to Cloud Services, Data Analytics, Infrastructure, Application Management, Cyber Security, and Generative AI.
  • Evidence of consistently exceeding sales targets relating to revenue, bookings, and operating margins.
  • In-depth knowledge of global delivery models and methodologies for collaboration with offshore teams, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to effectively coordinate with internal teams across different service lines to deliver client-centric solutions.
  • Adept at cultivating and nurturing relationships with senior clients and stakeholders, providing valuable insights for business growth opportunities.
  • *Candidates must reside in the Houston area or be willing to relocate permanently to Houston—no exceptions.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $200,000.00  to $280,000.00. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options
