Job Description

WAF SME - Akamai/F5

Must have experience in Akamai and/or F5 technologies. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of web application security, WAF deployment, and tuning, and will be responsible for ensuring the security and performance of web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • WAF Deployment: Implement and configure WAF solutions using Akamai and/or F5 technologies.
  • Policy Tuning: Develop and fine-tune security policies to protect web applications from threats.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor WAF logs and analyze web traffic to identify and mitigate security threats.
  • Migration Projects: Lead migration projects to move applications to WAF platforms, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Consultation: Provide expert advice and consultation on WAF best practices and security measures.
  • Training and Support: Train and support internal teams on WAF functionalities and security protocols.
  • Incident Response: Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of WAF configurations, policies, and procedures.

Q͏ualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a WAF SME with Akamai and/or F5 technologies.
  • Strong understanding of web application security principles and protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH) are a plus.
