Title: Horizon Scanning Lead
Introduction:
Servaada, a Wipro company is looking for a Horizon Scanning Lead where you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive second line compliance support to the organisation. You will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning regulatory and compliance changes (including the Consumer Duty) with business objectives, while also handling generalist responsibilities. This role requires a versatile compliance professional with expertise in Horizon Scanning, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build effective relationships.

You will play a vital role in managing and overseeing horizon scanning, providing updates to business leaders, and fostering a positive work environment. This role will be based in London and will require travel to our clients’ offices.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring there is clear internal and external communication on the impact and providing training where needed
- Working closely with other internal teams, conducting analysis of customer demand and regulatory changes, and supporting the implementation of any required or recommended changes to ensure the business continues to deliver good customer outcomes
- Input into regulatory documentation and/or outputs and operational procedures from a technical point of view ensuring they are clear, accurate and not misleading
- Analyse any developing pensions and retail investments legislations and oversee any major changes and ensuring ongoing compliance
- Engage and support our colleagues with the management and delivery of systems, regulatory and legislative change for the benefit of our customers and business growth opportunities
- Represent the Group at relevant Industry bodies, relevant panels, working groups which enable you to support the development of the Group brand as a key contributor in technical discussions
- Recommend training, conferences and seminars to wider team from which they would benefit based on changes occurring
- You will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities that fall within your capabilities as directed by management
Mandatory Skills:
The role holder will have a proven track record in establishing credible relationships with leadership teams and in managing complex compliance issues. They will have successfully operated in a complex environment and be driven to play a key role regulatory compliance.
- Robust experience in financial services in a second line back-office compliance role
- Working knowledge of and experiencing in using the FCA Handbook
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate compliance risks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance issues to non-compliance professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- The ability to present to a wide range of stakeholders
- Self-motivator
- Strong IT skills (Particularly Excel and other MS office applications
Desirable Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Knowledge of insurance industry practices and procedures
