Wipro's AI Practice in Europe focuses on providing services and solutions to European companies, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies to help them transform their businesses across various sectors like retail, finance, utilities, telecom, manufacturing, and engineering, all while adhering to the EU's regulations on responsible AI development within the Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA). AI Practice Head - Europe

The leader will drive applied AI lead innovation and AI adaptation in the fields of embedded systems, devices, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) robotics, Enterprise apps, cloud and hardware. As the AI Head for Europe-SMU, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of AI strategies, technologies, and solutions that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Practice of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and manage a team of data scientists, engineers, analysts and architects, support their career development and enhance business performance.
  • Motivate and grow the Europe region by leading the design, transformation, optimization, and delivery across all industries.  
  • Demonstrate expertise and business acumen, define and implement the AI and ML strategy and roadmap, and ensure alignment with the business objectives and vision.
  • Drive the development and deployment of AI and ML solutions that address complex business problems and deliver value to the organization.

  • P&L accountability, revenue and order booking target ownership of large cross-region teams
  • Defines GTM strategy for AI and works with sales teams closely in growing the business. Partner with other Wipro business units and develop strong relationships to build your own internal eco-system, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the Center of Excellence and across the data and analytics community and provide mentorship and guidance to the team members.
  • Work closely and build collaborative relationships with GTM teams and expand the growth for AI business.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of AI and ML solutions and ensure continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization, and effectively communicate the vision, value and progress of the AI and ML initiatives.
  • Develop partnerships with external vendors or research institutions to leverage their expertise in advancing our AI capabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support in the acquisition or development of AI tools, frameworks, and platforms.

Attributes we are seeking: 

  • Deep understanding of AI technologies including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, Gen AI, RPA, Expert systems etc.
  • Significant transformation proposition definition and engagement shaping using core and disruptive technologies to solve business problems for tangible business benefits
  • Proven track record of generating AI revenue from new and existing accounts and have the capability to drive and lead customer relationships into multimillion-dollar engagements.
  • Experience in account planning, business development strategies and participating in large integrated deals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, relationship building and networking skills on the client side, ecosystem partners and internal organisation.
