The role:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Services Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure field support, excellent customer management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality service. This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues, ensuring compliance with hardware warranties and customer security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
End User Support
- Provide IT infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Resolve issues without impacting hardware warranties or violating customer security compliance requirements.
- Manage customer interactions effectively, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Work collaboratively with customers at various levels.
- Demonstrate self-drive and a results-oriented approach.
- Exhibit a strong passion for the work and the ability to meet deadlines.
Hardware Troubleshooting and Repair
- Install and troubleshoot hardware issues for laptops, desktops, printers, and accessories.
- Possess basic knowledge of enterprise LAN, WAN, and server setups.
- Perform smart and physical assistance activities under instruction at sites.
- Lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Assist with conference room A/V equipment and troubleshoot issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot basic VOIP phone systems.
- Provide smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, and multi-port data termination panels.
Operating System & Software
- Provide desk-side support for installing and troubleshooting operating systems (Windows 7/10, Mac, Linux).
- Experience with anti-spyware and anti-virus software.
- Install and troubleshoot standard software applications (e.g., Adobe, browsers).
- Install and troubleshoot office applications (O365, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Skype, OneDrive).
- Understand TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and RDP principles.
- Configure and troubleshoot mobile device management systems (Airwatch, Xenmobile, Mobile Iron).
- Understand data backups and troubleshoot VDI, SCCM/LanDesk/Altris.
- Configure and troubleshoot Apple machines and mobile devices.
- Contribute to creating knowledge base articles.
- Ensure all service requests and incidents are addressed within stipulated SLA timelines.
Tools & Process
- Knowledge and experience with service requests and incident management processes.
- Preferably hold an Associate’s Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ Certification.
- Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).
Qualifications:
- Experienced in IT infrastructure field support.
- Strong customer management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact and work with customers at different levels.
- Self-driven and result oriented.

- Ability to work with deadlines and complete tasks on time.
