Title: Network Engineer - L4
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Implementation:
• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and cloud-based networking solutions.
• Lead or contribute to the deployment of Azure networking solutions such as Azure Virtual Network (VNet), Azure ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateways.
• Network Management:
• Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide resolutions in a timely manner.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and migrations with minimal impact on business operations.
• Security and Compliance:
• Configure and maintain firewalls to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Implement best practices for network security, including segmentation, intrusion prevention, and regular vulnerability assessments.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, system administrators, and developers, to support business needs.
• Provide technical support for network-related incidents and service requests.
• Documentation and Training:
• Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members on emerging technologies and best practices.
• Continuous Learning:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in networking, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity.
• Quickly learn and apply new tools, platforms, and methodologies as needed.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong experience with configuring and managing enterprise-grade switches and routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Azure networking services, including but not limited to VNets, ExpressRoute, NSGs, and load balancers.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement effective solutions.
• Adaptability:
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Experience: 5-8 Years .
Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
