API Microservice Integration Architect 
Location: New Jersey -USA/Onsite


Key Responsibilities 

Event Schema Design & Governance

- Define standard event models including headers and payloads using formats like JSON Schema and XML.

- Promote event schema as a first-class data asset, linking it with design documentation and making it easily accessible.

Canonical Data Model Development

- Create and maintain canonical models that represent core business entities (e.g., orders, customers, contracts) across systems.

- Harmonize API and event taxonomy to ensure consistent representation of business objects.

- Address challenges in scalability, transformation latency, and model evolution.

Integration Strategy & Architecture

- Collaborate on integration patterns such as canonical proxy services, scatter-gather, and asynchronous messaging.

- Support platform migration strategies and legacy decommissioning.

- Define observability and monitoring strategies for event flows and integration health.

Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement

- Work with business and technical stakeholders to align canonical models with organizational needs.

- Participate in governance forums to mediate conflicts and enforce standards.

- Lead pilot implementations and document learnings for broader rollout.

 

Required Skills

- Deep understanding of event-driven architecture, message brokers, and integration platforms (e.g., Solace, MuleSoft, SAP CPI).

- Experience with canonical modeling, schema design, and metadata management.

- Familiarity with REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and EDA platforms.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience in large-scale integration programs.

- Exposure to industry-standard data models and taxonomy frameworks.

- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD for integration deployments.

Experience: 8-10 Years .

 

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
