Job Description

Azure IAAS

  • Detailed understanding on customer’s landscape and architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Services including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
  • Knowledge in Microservices architecture and implementation.
  • Expertise in Azure PaaS end-to-end solution and sound knowledge in cloud application design and architecture framework. Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
  • Expertise in PaaS services with Developing, Deploying, and configuring Azure App Services, Application Gateway, Redis cache, PaaS DB, Log Analytics, Azure functions, Azure Logic apps, Azure APIM, Log analytics, azure fabric controller, Azure search, Notification hub.
  • Knowledge and experience of commonly used Azure IaaS products (ARM, Storage accounts, virtual machines, security and encryption/DR, monitoring)
  • Knowledge and experience in PowerShell Scripting, ARM Templates, Azure AD, App Service Plans, Azure Service Environments (Isolated Plans)
  • Good understanding of API, Web Services, Disaster Recovery, High Availability, Fail Over and Redundancy, Virtualization, Storage, Networking.
  • Knowledge and experience with Azure PaaS Configuration, Cost Calculation, and Administration of Azure Resources.
  • Experience to securely integrate Cloud Databases like SQL, Cosmo DB and other PaaS Web app and logic. Like authentication/authorization management and key generation and certificate management etc.…
  • Experience to choose right Azure PaaS Plans and services to improve application performance with minimal cost.
  • Handling performance issues on cloud, connectivity issues, security issues and troubleshooting services issues.
  • Excellent understanding of distributed applications in an enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Application Code Deployment and Configuration on Azure Environment
  • Experience with Azure OMS (Operations Management Suite), Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure security center.
  • experience in Azure AD, Load balancer, site recovery, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Azure Analysis Service, Azure AD Proxy.
  • Experience to manage applications in Azure AD like app registration, Configuring MFA, identities creation etc...
  • Expertise in Azure key vault management like sharing credentials and certificates between Key vault to other Azure resources.
  • Knowledge and experience of automation for Azure solution architecture, best practices, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services PaaS, Azure Functions, Web Jobs, Bots, Redis, Service Bus, Cosmos, etc.)
  • Experience in MS Azure Kubernetes Service, setting up and building Kubernetes Clusters in Azure - Install, configure, Optimize, Nodes PODs Scale-up and Management.
  • Knowledge in docker, Databricks, Azure Batch and Azure Stream analytics services.
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure automation, Infrastructure as code, and different industry-standard tools
  • Strong Hands-on experience working on CI/CD pipeline on Cloud management platforms
  • Knowledge in programming languages such as PowerShell, ASP.NET, Python, Shell scripting, Terraform, JSON, XML, or similar scripting language.
  • Proven knowledge of Agile / Scrum / DevOps approach to realize business value for the customer
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloud-native Solution Designing, Cloud development patterns, and recommended practices
  • Experienced with Cloud Automation concept and best practices, automation tools, and cloud development
  • Participation on all types of Incidents, Problems, Changes & Service Request

Do

  • Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup)
    • Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution
    • Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements
    • Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable
    • Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower
    •  Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues. 
    • Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower
    • Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges
    • Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower
    • Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc.
    • Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps
    • Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness

    • Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxt are well understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below

    • Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team
    • Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
    • Proactively challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/ initiatives for the organization or team
