Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

 

Batch Job Scheduling and Monitoring

 

•    Manage and Monitor Batch Jobs schedule in Control M for both Mainframe and Distributed Environments

•    Define configure optimize batch jobs within control m to ensure they run efficiently and without errors. 

•    Troubleshoot and resolve Job failures with the help of applications teams

 

Mainframe Batch Operations

 

•    Work with Mainframe systems (z/OS) to manage, monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs

•    Perform day to day operational activities which includes Job Abends, Re-run/Restart, Force-OK, Adhoc /Out of Schedule batch run, batch scheduling i.e., add/delete/modify

•    Create GDGBASE, GDG Version File, Members, providing overrides to JCL

•    Coordinate with application teams for execution of mainframe batch jobs, ensuring adherence to SLA's and business requirement

•    Investigate and resolve Job failures or delays, escalating issues as needed

 

 

Mandatory Skills: BMC Control M .
