Hardware Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to system validation activities with a strong understanding of server/platform architecture (CPU, memory, PCIe, storage, firmware).

• Design and review test strategies and validation plans for server products.

• Execute tests using existing Python-based frameworks and perform result analysis.

• Perform basic scripting and tool development to support test execution and debug workflows.

• Work closely with design, firmware, and validation teams to investigate and triage system issues.

• Understand interactions between hardware, firmware (BIOS/BMC), OS, and drivers during test/debug.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Solid understanding of system/server design concepts (architecture, interfaces, boot flow, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (basic commands, system monitoring, log analysis).

• Working knowledge of Python scripting (for test execution, log parsing, minor script modifications).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to triage complex platform issues.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Familiarity with server validation or platform bring-up processes.

• Exposure to tools such as IPMI, serial debug, JTAG.

• Understanding of BIOS/UEFI, BMC, OS boot loaders.

• Familiarity with hardware test labs and board-level debug environments

Experience: 3-5 Years .

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
