As an IC Failure Analysis (FA) Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the failure analysis process by coordinating and maintaining tools, lab facilities, and safety protocols. While not directly involved in the FA process, you will ensure that all materials needed for FA are readily available and that the lab operates efficiently.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Lab Facilities and equipment Maintenance:

   - Oversee the cleanliness and functionality of the FA lab and associated workspaces.

   - Coordinate with facilities management for repairs, improvements, and safety inspections.

   - Refilling of Liquid Nitrogen Dewars.

   - Managing sample receiving/outgoing.

   - LMS mgmt.

 

2. Tool Coordination:

   - Manage the scheduling, calibration, and maintenance of FA tools and equipment, including microscopes, probing stations, thermal chambers, and chemical analysis tools.

   - Coordinate with vendors and service providers for tool repairs and maintenance.

 

3. Inventory Management:

   - Maintain an organized inventory of consumables, chemicals, and materials necessary for FA procedures.

   - Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.

   

4. Safety Compliance:

   - Enforce safety protocols and procedures in the FA lab, including the handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

   - Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards promptly.

 

5. Documentation and Reporting:

   - Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory levels.

   - Generate reports on lab activities, including tool usage, inventory status, and safety compliance.

 

6. Training and Support:

   - Provide guidance and training to lab users on proper tool operation, safety protocols, and lab procedures.

   - Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

- Previous experience in a semiconductor or electronics lab environment is highly desirable.

- Familiarity with IC failure analysis tools is a plus.

- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

- Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, vendors, and external service providers.

- Proficiency in computer applications for inventory management, documentation, and data analysis.

 

Working Conditions:

 

- This role primarily operates in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals, fumes, and electronic equipment.

- May be required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift heavy objects occasionally.

- Flexible hours may be necessary to accommodate equipment maintenance, repairs, or urgent FA requests.

Mandatory Skills: VLSI Board Design .

 

Experience: 3-5 Years .

 

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000 . Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
