Experience: 15+ years
Mission: Define the holistic technical vision and ensure alignment between business objectives, compliance mandates, and scalable data platform architecture.
Reporting To: CTO/Program Director
Mandatory Skills:
Azure Expert Certification.
5+ years architecting data platforms for multitenant SaaS in regulated industries (energy/utilities preferred).
Mastery of data infrastructure as code (Terraform, Azure Bicep) and CI/CD orchestration (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
Proven implementation of SOC2/GDPR compliance controls in data-intensive environments.
Deep expertise in distributed data systems and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Delta Lake).
Data Governance and knowledge graph
Data catalog and metadata management
Experience with Data modeling and database design
Designing and implementing large scale system
Well versed in modern data platform concept such as Data Mesh and data MarketPlace,
Nice to Have:
TOGAF 9.2 or SAFe 6.0 certification.
Familiarity with energy protocols: IEC 61850 (SCADA), OpenADR (demand response), or IEEE 2030.5 (smart grids).
Prior work with digital twins in industrial/energy contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Translate business requirements (e.g., multiday deployments, partner SDK, energy KPI models) into scalable data platform blueprints.
Enforce tenant isolation for data, compute, and security across ingestion, processing, and analytics layers.
Cross Domain Integration:
Architect unified data pipelines from ingestion (SCADA/IoT) to consumption (Power BI, ML models) using Azure-native services.
Design resilient data architectures with disaster recovery strategies for 99.95% SLA compliance.
Compliance & Risk:
Implement audit trails for data lineage, user actions, and model inference across the platform.
Enforce zero trust security (RBAC, Azure AD SSO, Key Vault encryption) for sensitive data workflows.
Deployment Efficiency:
Develop reusable Terraform modules for rapid (<48hr) onboarding of new data tenants.
Optimize cost and performance for Databricks, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Lake Storage workloads.
Performance Metrics:
Data platform deployable to new tenants within 2 business days.
Zero critical compliance gaps in SOC2 Type II audits.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $1,00,000 to $2,00,000 .
