Job Summary:


WIPRO is seeking an experienced Cloud Migration Architect with a strong background in large-scale application migrations to Azure. The ideal candidate will drive cloud migration strategies, solutions, and processes for our organization, ensuring seamless transitions from on-premises or other environments to Azure. They will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and project management teams to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure cloud architectures that align with business objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:


Migration Strategy & Planning: Spearhead the design and execution of comprehensive Azure cloud migration strategies, overseeing the assessment, planning, and project execution phases


Solution Architecture: Define and document scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures, ensuring they meet the strategic objectives and technical demands of the organization


Azure Expertise: Utilize in-depth Azure knowledge to guide migration projects, from initial design through to implementation. This includes technical proficiency with Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, and storage technologies.


Application Modernization: Evaluate existing applications for cloud readiness, employing methodologies such as containerization, serverless computing, and API management to optimize performance and utility on Azure


Collaboration with DevOps Teams: Work in tandem with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, monitor systems, and promote a DevOps culture that drives operational efficiencies


Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage potential risks associated with migration, ensuring that all activities adhere to security and regulatory standards


Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Generate and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, guidelines, and standards while providing training and mentorship on Azure best practices for internal teams


Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison with business stakeholders to gather requirements, communicate migration progress, and effectively tackle any technical challenges that may arise

 

Qualifications:


- Azure Expertise: Strong expertise in Azure services, including VMs, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Functions, API Management, and other relevant cloud services


- DevOps Knowledge: Solid understanding of DevOps principles and experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and Ansible


- Migration Tools & Techniques: Familiarity with cloud migration tools (e.g., Azure Migrate, ASR, third-party tools) and strategies (lift and shift, refactoring, re-platforming)


- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Mandatory Skills: Azure DevOps Operations .

 

Experience: 8-10 Years .
