Job Description

This critical role will focus on managing the full lifecycle of retail data pipelines—including sales, inventory, store traffic, RFID, promotions, workforce management, omni-channel sales, and store operations. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of proven experience in retail data management, product ownership, and stakeholder engagement to help drive business value and operational excellence across our retail landscape. 

This position is fully remote and based in Poland. The successful candidate will thrive in a global environment, regularly collaborating with stakeholders across the US, Asia, and Europe.

 

Preferred Skills 

Experience with Retail Point of Sales reporting and retail operations. 

Familiarity with cloud data platforms (GCP) and data pipeline orchestration tools. 

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

Ability to influence and drive change across diverse stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities 

Shape and execute the data product vision and roadmap for all retail data domains, including but not limited to POS sales, inventory, traffic, RFID, promotions, workforce management, omni-channel sales (buy online, return in store), and store operations. 

Collaborate closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and cross-functional retail leaders to translate business needs into scalable, high-impact data solutions. 

Act as the primary point of contact for retail data product initiatives, providing thought leadership and subject matter expertise in all areas of data management, analytics, and operational reporting. 

Lead requirements gathering, prioritization, and documentation by engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the retail organization. 

Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and adoption of data products. 

Drive process improvement initiatives to elevate data governance, security, and compliance standards within the retail data domain. 

Deliver presentations, training, and documentation to maximize user adoption and business impact. 

Stay abreast of emerging retail technologies, data trends, and industry best practices to continually inform product strategy.

Required Qualifications 

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field. 

Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience managing retail data products, data pipelines, and analytics platforms, preferably in a consulting or multi-client environment. 

Extensive expertise in retail business processes, including POS systems, inventory management, store operations, promotions, omni-channel sales, and workforce management. 

Demonstrated success in launching and managing complex data products at scale. 

Good understanding of data engineering concepts, data governance, and modern data architectures (e.g., cloud data platforms, streaming, batch processing). 

Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills. 

Proven ability to gather and document detailed business and technical requirements. 

Expertise with analytics, BI, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) is a plus. 

Experience working in agile and cross-functional teams. 

Consulting background with the ability to quickly understand client needs and deliver value-driven solutions. 

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global environment, collaborating with stakeholders in the US, Asia, and Europe.
