QA Engineer – API Testing & TOSCA Automation

Experience: 5–6 Years
Location: Coimbatore/Pune

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Engineer with strong expertise in API Testing and TOSCA Automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and executing API test scenarios, building scalable automation solutions using TOSCA, and contributing to high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.

This role requires a professional who can independently create and maintain automation frameworks, ensure comprehensive test coverage, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and reliable applications.

Key Skills Required

  • 5–6 years of QA/Test Engineering experience with a strong focus on API Testing and TOSCA Automation.
  • Hands-on experience with Tricentis TOSCA or formal TOSCA training (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in designing and developing TOSCA automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Experience in validating REST and SOAP APIs, including authentication, request/response validation, and error handling.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using TOSCA.
  • Build reusable components, modules, and scalable automation frameworks.
  • Perform comprehensive API testing for functional, integration, regression, and negative test scenarios.
  • Create and execute test cases, analyze results, and manage defect lifecycle using tools such as JIRA.
  • Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Participate in test planning, estimations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive automation best practices and improve overall test coverage and execution efficiency.

Preferred Certifications

  • TOSCA AS1 (Automation Specialist Level 1)
  • TOSCA AS2 (Automation Specialist Level 2)
