Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, govern, and enhance the CMDB ensuring CI accuracy, relationships, and lifecycle state integrity.
  • Define and enforce CMDB data quality rules: completeness, correctness, compliance, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with ITSM teams (Incident, Problem, Change, Release) to ensure CIs are used consistently and meaningfully.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards/reports to monitor CI usage trends, data quality, and service dependencies.
  • Analyse CMDB data to assess service impact, root cause trends, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Work with business and IT stakeholders to support data-driven decisions using CMDB insights.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives to increase CMDB maturity aligned with CSDM/ITIL best practices.
  • Participate in audits, governance reviews, and risk assessments related to asset/configuration data.
  • Implement and manage automated discovery tools and integrations to populate and update CI data.
  • Conduct training for Business & IT Stakeholders
  • Perform Gap assessments, identify gaps, build a roadmap to structurally address the gaps and manage end to end implementations.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7 years of hands-on experience in CMDB/Configuration Management within ITSM environment.
  • Proficient with CMDB platforms like ServiceNow CMDB, BMC Atrium, or similar tools.
  • Experience with ITSM process integration, especially Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting and analytics tools: ServiceNow Performance Analytics, Power BI, or similar.
  • Ability to define KPIs, trends, and actionable insights from CI usage across ITSM workflows.
  • Familiarity with data visualization, dashboard creation, and decision support reporting.
  • Experience aligning CMDB with frameworks like CSDM (Common Service Data Model).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification (preferably Intermediate in SACM or CSI).
  • ServiceNow System Administrator or CMDB Specialist certification.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, or Python) for reporting or automation tasks.
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure and how hybrid environments affect CI modelling and reporting.

•    Technical background with demonstrated skills in at least one or multiple IT technologies / disciplines

•    Configuration Management experience on document control, source code management, and Defect Management tools
•    Should be able to create a CMDB repository
•    Should have understanding of the software development  lifecycle
•    Experience of working in a multi-site environment
•    Extensive experience with SCM tools and with build automation software

SIAM JD 

 

A SIAM Consultant job profile includes knowledge of Service Integration and Management (SIAM) methodology, experience with multi-vendor management, understanding of ITIL and similar frameworks, strong communication and negotiation skills, and expertise in operational risk management and service delivery. The consultant coordinates internal and external service providers to ensure integrated, effective service delivery and supports the client in achieving business objectives. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordination of service providers: 

Directing and coordinating the collaboration between various internal and external service providers (partners, suppliers). 

  • End-to-end service management: 

Ensuring the integrated delivery of all services, from start to finish. 

  • Implementation of SIAM: 

Applying the SIAM methodology, including best practices, processes and roles, to optimize service delivery. 

  • Managing the service integrator role: 

Functioning as the central coordinator (the "service integrator") between the client organization and the service providers. 

  • Risk management: 

Identifying, assessing and mitigating operational risks within service delivery. 

  • Service quality: 

Evaluate and improve the quality of services provided through strong analytical skills. 

  • Communication and relationship management: 

Building and maintaining good relationships with various stakeholders through effective communication and negotiations. 

Required skills and knowledge 

  • SIAM knowledge: 

In-depth knowledge of Service Integration and Management principles and methodology.

  • Service Management frameworks: 

A deep understanding of frameworks such as ITIL to ensure they are aligned with best practices.

  • Multi-vendor management: 

Demonstrable experience working with and coordinating multiple third parties and vendors.

  • IT operations: 

Strong knowledge of IT operations, including service delivery and support practices.

  • Analytical skills: 

The ability to analyse data to assess and improve service quality.

  • Communication skills: 

Strong communication and negotiation skills for successful stakeholder relationships.

  • Change Management: 

Familiarity with change management processes and tools is an advantage.

  • Compliance and regulations: 

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards for a secure IT environment.
