Technical Qualification/ Knowledge:

• Good knowledge on the cloud technology, different patterns, deployment methods, compatibility of the applications
• Good knowledge on the major Azure technologies and associated components and variations
  • VNET, VNET Peering, Direct Connect, subnet, TM, Availability Zones
  • Snapshot, Auto scaling,
  • EBS, S3, Multi region replication, Storage Gateway, Snowball
  • Load balancers , Nat Gateway , Internet Gateway
  • Security components , Key pair, security groups, ACL; IAM, Directory Service, Certificate manager
  • RDS, DMS
  • Cloud Monitor, Automation,
  • Json scripting, ARM,
  • Azure Market place
  • Ability to understand and articulate the different functions within Azure and design appropriate solution, HLD, LLD around it.
• Ability to identify and gather requirements to define a solution to be built and operated on Azure, perform high level and low level design for the Azure platform
• Capabilities to provide Azure operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project
• Understanding the significance of the different metrics under the monitoring, their threshold values and should be able to take necessary corrective measures based on the thresholds
• Knowledge on automation to reduce the number of incidents or the repetitive incidents are preferred
• Must have good knowledge on the networking, subnet , subnet masking, route tables, routing, access control list, NAT and port address translation
• Must have knowledge on the traditional IT infrastructure includes
  • Server Hardware
  • Storage
  • Networking basic data base implementation knowledge
• Basic knowledge on typical application deployment , load balancing
• Good knowledge on the data center operation, monitoring tools, backup solution
• Hands on knowledge on the Data center migration and application migration to the Azure cloud or any other cloud environment
• Good understanding of the data center deployment design, how the components works together, understanding of the component level dependencies within and outside data center

Experience expected:

• 5+ year of experience in Azure based design (HLD and LLD) of the different components to meet the customer and business expectation in a cost effective manner
• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating Azure-based applications, instances, Storage, backup, network configuration, automation, DR, backup and recovery
• One or more years’ experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on Azure
• 8 or more years equivalent experience in the data center operation in any of the following areas
  • OS administration ( either Windows or Linux/ Unix)
  • Storage + backup management ( Enterprise level storages)
  • Administration of the virtualization platform ( any one VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM)
  • Network administration with good knowledge on at least one Operating system
• Good experience in monitoring, performing DR drill
• Experience on enterprise level IT infrastructure monitoring
• Server migration from one data center to another data center is desired
• Experience in IT infrastructure design will be added advantage

Roles and Responsibilities:

Microsoft Azure implementation L2/L3 engineer is responsible for delivery of IT Infrastructure elements on Azure Cloud and migrate workloads to Azure from on premise infra

Responsibilities include:

• Migrate on premise workloads to Azure
• Understand the design and deploy components on Azure based on design
• Troubleshoot issues.
• Proactive, predictive, maintenance activities of public cloud (Azure Infrastructure)
• Required Candidate Profile

• Engineering Degree with 6+ years in IT
• 6+ Years of IT Infrastructure experience
• Should know Cloud concepts in details
• Should know Azure offerings (Storage, OS instances, Availability zones, DR, Load balancers, etc.) in detail and should have worked on at least one migration project
• Should have hands-on experience on at least one OS type either Windows or Linux
• Strong networking skills
• DevOps Tools=>Azure DevOps, CD/CD Pipeline
• Chef/puppet knowledge an added advantage
• Should have good understanding of any scripting language like, powershell, python or JSON
• Process orientation

Experience ( Preferred)

• Experience of working in International business environment
• Experience in handling MS Azure

Certification (Preferred):  Azure Certified Solution Architect – Associate , Any other Cloud certification

Process/ Quality Knowledge:

• Must have clear knowledge on ITIL based service delivery
• ITIL certification is desired
• Knowledge on quality
• Knowledge on Security processes
