Role Overview
The IT Operations Management professional with Vendor Management responsibility will oversee end-user support operations, ensure seamless IT service delivery, and manage third-party vendors delivering infrastructure and support services. The role requires strong ITIL alignment, SLA governance, vendor performance management, and operational excellence in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Operations & End-User Support Management
- Oversee end-to-end IT operations across EUC (End User Computing), including:
- Desktop/Laptop support
- Mobility support
- Printer/peripherals
- Application support coordination
- Ensure smooth functioning of L1/L2 support teams
- Handle escalations and critical incidents impacting business services
- Monitor resolution quality and ensure user satisfaction
2. Incident, Problem & Service Request Governance (ITIL)
3. Vendor Management (Core Responsibility)
Vendor Governance & Coordination
SLA & Performance Management
Contract & Compliance Management
Escalation & Issue Management
Cost & Optimisation Management
4. Asset & Inventory Coordination
5. Stakeholder & Client Management
6. Operational Reporting & Analytics
7. Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)
Technical Skills Required
- ITIL process knowledge (Incident, Problem, Change, SLA)
- ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred in your environment)
- Strong understanding of:
- EUC support (Desktop, O365, AD, mobility)
- Infrastructure services basics
- Reporting tools (Excel, Power BI – good to have)
Vendor Management Skills (Critical for Role)
- Vendor governance and stakeholder coordination
- SLA/KPI definition and tracking
- Contract/SOW understanding
- Negotiation and conflict resolution
- Performance review and service improvement planning
- Financial awareness (cost tracking / optimisation)
Relevant Certifications
✅ Mandatory / Highly Preferred
- ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification
✅ Vendor & Operations Oriented (Preferred)
- ITIL Managing Professional (MP)
- Certified Vendor Management Professional (CVMP) or Vendor Management certifications
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
Experience Requirements (5–8 Years)
- 5–8 years of experience in:
- IT operations / ITSM / EUC support
- Vendor management or service delivery roles
- Experience in:
- Enterprise / managed services environment
- Client-facing operations
- Multi-vendor ecosystem
