Designit is seeking an experienced and visionary Service Design Director to lead the Experience Studio Model, a central governance and innovation hub within a large-scale digital transformation programme for a leading telecommunications organisation in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:
Creative Vision and Leadership
- Define and lead the Experience Studio vision, mandate and operating model.
- Align business objectives, technology constraints, engineering roadmaps and human needs.
- Set clear prioritisation frameworks balancing short-term delivery and long-term impact.
- Lead, mentor and inspire multidisciplinary teams across service design, experience design, research and strategy.
- Create a high-performance, inclusive and learning-oriented team culture.
- Act as a culture bearer for Designit values and Wipro behaviours.
- Contribute to regional planning, forecasting, resourcing and office culture initiatives.
Creative Excellence, Governance and Programme Operations
- Represent design and experience in programme leadership and governance forums.
- Embed human-centred design principles into programme rituals, standards and decision-making.
- Oversee Studio workstreams including adoption, design sprints, workflow redesign, AI use-case validation, blueprinting and personalisation.
- Ensure high standards in research, service blueprinting, prototyping, journey modelling and UX measurement.
- Foster close collaboration with Wipro engineering, data, AI and consulting teams.
- Enable knowledge sharing, capability uplift and consistent ways of working across teams.
Client Engagement and Strategic Influence
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives.
- Facilitate strategic conversations and co-creation across business, IT and operations stakeholders.
- Navigate complex organisational dynamics and drive experience-led decisions into action.
- Identify and shape new opportunities within the programme and wider client organisation.
- Support proposals, pitches and commercial discussions related to Studio initiatives.
Required Experience and Skills
Experience
- 10 to 12+ years leading design, experience or transformation teams in large-scale programmes.
- Demonstrated experience operating at Director level or equivalent.
- Proven ability to influence senior executives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Experience within digital transformation, enterprise platforms or large change programmes.
