Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in automating iOS and Android mobile applications using Appium. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for iOS and Android mobile applications using Appium. 
Build and enhance scalable, reusable, and maintainable mobile automation frameworks. 
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to identify automation opportunities. 
Prepare comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and automation scripts based on application requirements. 
Execute automation test suites as part of sprint, regression, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing. 
Perform dry runs to validate test readiness before formal execution cycles. 
Maintain and manage automation test data to support various testing scenarios. 
Analyze test execution results, identify failures, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with development teams for defect resolution. 
Log, track, and manage defects using Jira and participate in defect triage meetings. 
Manage test cases, execution cycles, and test evidence using QTest. 
Prepare daily, weekly, and release-level test execution reports and quality metrics. 
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams throughout the SDLC and Agile lifecycle. 
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and retrospectives. 
Ensure automation scripts are integrated into CI/CD pipelines wherever applicable. 
Continuously improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and framework stability. 
Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance on automation best practices. 
Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and coding guidelines. 
Minimum 8 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on Mobile Test Automation. 
Strong hands-on experience in automating iOS and Android mobile applications. 
Extensive experience with Appium for mobile automation. 
Strong experience in creating, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks. 
Experience in writing robust, reusable, and maintainable automation test scripts. 
Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, testing methodologies, and automation best practices. 
Experience in test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and reporting. 
Hands-on experience with: Appium, Jira, QTest 
Experience in maintaining automation test data and execution environments. 
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. 
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 
Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. 
Experience in the E-Commerce domain. 
Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). 
Experience with version control systems such as Git. 
Knowledge of API testing and backend validation. 
Familiarity with cloud-based mobile testing platforms such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs. 
Exposure to performance and accessibility testing for mobile applications. 
Experience with native, hybrid, and mobile web application testing. 
Knowledge of Appium 2.x architecture and latest mobile automation practices. 
Familiarity with Android Studio, Xcode, ADB, and iOS simulators/emulators. 
Experience working with real devices and device farms. 
This JD is suitable for a Senior/Lead Mobile Automation Tester responsible for end-to-end mobile automation testing in an enterprise Agile environment
