Role: Application Architect - Hadoop
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (3 Days Onsite/week)
Job Description:
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
o Part of a full stack agile team including Pega, Java, ETL, Data Engineers, VB (.NET), and Mainframe developers
o Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
o Support both new development and production support as needed
Must Have Technical Skills
o Design, develop, and optimize scalable big data solutions using Hadoop and related technologies to support business analytics and data processing requirements.
o Write and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting across multiple large datasets.
o Develop, test, and deploy data pipelines utilizing Python, PySpark, and Informatica to automate data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
o Leverage GitHub for version control and collaborative development, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
o Implement and manage data streaming and messaging solutions using Kafka for real-time data processing and integration.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues in big data environments, optimizing performance and reliability of data platforms.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data models, and support advanced analytics initiatives.
o Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards are met within all data engineering processes.
o Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Alation.
Flex/Nice-to-Have Skills
o Experience with Medallion Architecture a plus
o Experience in Containerization (Kubernetes / Docker) a plus
o Experience with Marketing applications (Pega, Salesforce, Adobe, Zafin, Naehas) is a plus
o Experience with Visual Basic (.NET) a plus
o Experience with SaaS based solutions a plus
o Financial Services industry knowledge.

Experience: 8-10 Years .
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $158,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
