Job Description: ITIL Asset and Configuration Management

Location: Ahmedabad

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Team Leader in Asset and Configuration Management. This role involves overseeing IT asset operations within the account delivery framework, managing the lifecycle of IT assets, and ensuring compliance with asset management policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asset and configuration management, with a strong focus on Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of asset and configuration coordinators.

Develop and implement asset management strategies and policies.

Oversee the acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date asset records in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with asset management policies.

Collaborate with other departments to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs.

Provide training and support to team members on asset management processes and tools.

Generate and present reports on asset status, utilization, and compliance.

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for asset procurement and maintenance.

Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices in asset and configuration management.

Technical Skills Required:

Proficiency in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management (CM) tools.

Strong understanding of Hardware Asset Management (HAM) processes.

Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) systems.

Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices.

Familiarity with software licensing and compliance.

Ability to analyze and interpret asset data to make informed decisions.

Strong project management skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Minimum Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Master’s degree preferred.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP), Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)) are required but not mandatory.

Experience:

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in IT asset and configuration management.

Proven experience in leading and managing teams.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement asset management strategies.
