Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Customs Brokerage Specialist to support our remote customs operations. This role is ideal for candidates with 6–12 months of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, courier, or cargo services. Candidates from service industries such as hospitality or call centers with relevant transferable skills are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review inbound documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assess regulatory requirements for customs clearance.
  • Exercise judgment to accurately complete customs forms.
  • Track and trace customer shipments.
  • Handle customer queries through back-office channels.
  • Support compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize system software and keyboard shortcuts to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accuracy and speed in data entry and documentation

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • Minimum 6–12 months of experience in:
    • Customs brokerage
    • Logistics, courier, or cargo operations
    • Track & trace processes
    • Call center or hospitality/service industry (preferred

Essential Skills 

  • Strong aptitude for learning system software and product-specific information.
  • Excellent analytical and English comprehension skills.
  • Ability to multitask and navigate systems using keyboard shortcuts.
  • Typing speed of 30 WPM with 90% accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Comfortable working in 24/7 shifts as per business needs

  • Ability to solve routine problems effectively by gathering necessary information from customers.
  • Applies a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills.

  • Build capability to ensure operational excellence and maintain superior customer service levels of the existing account/client
    • Undertake product trainings to stay current with product features, changes and updates
    • Enroll in product specific and any other trainings per client requirements/recommendations
    • Partner with team leaders to brainstorm and identify training themes and learning issues to better serve the client
    • Update job knowledge by participating in self learning opportunities and maintaining personal networks

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $25,000 to $50,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
