Role Summary
The Computer Repair Technician is responsible for performing large-scale diagnostics, and repair of computer equipment, primarily Dell laptops and desktops. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet repair volume and quality targets in a fast-paced depot environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Dell laptops, desktops, and related hardware components.
- Perform hardware replacements including keyboards, batteries, displays, memory, storage devices, and system boards.
- Conduct functional testing and quality checks to ensure devices meet operational standards.
- Document repair activities and update repair status within designated systems and tools.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of parts, repaired devices, and work-in-progress assets.
- Follow established repair procedures, quality standards, and security compliance requirements.
- Support depot operations by assisting with asset movement, staging, and inventory activities as needed.
- Meet daily productivity and quality targets while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assist other operational teams and departments based on business needs.

Required Skills
- Experience repairing and troubleshooting Dell laptops and desktop computers.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and component replacement.
- Ability to diagnose hardware failures and perform corrective actions efficiently.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload priorities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Onsite presence required during business hours; remote work is not available.
- Willingness to support other operational functions and departments as needed.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $25,000 to $50,000 .
Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
