Role Purpose

The purpose of the role to serve as a technical bridge between developers, engineering teams, and the broader organization — directly helping users debug issues, providing thorough analysis, and escalating complex problems that require deeper engineering intervention. Alongside hands-on user support, you will build AI-powered tooling, contribute production code, and share best practices across teams. User support is a core function of this position, and keeping users unblocked is the top priority.

Core Responsibilities

  • Technical Triage & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve developer-facing issues independently using debugging skills, product knowledge, and AI-assisted research. Perform root cause analysis and provide clear, actionable guidance. 
  • Escalation & Routing: Identify issues beyond scope and route them to the appropriate engineering teams with thorough context and investigation findings. 
  • AI-Powered Automation: Build and maintain diagnostic agents, automated reporting, and AI-driven workflows. Actively explore and champion new AI capabilities to improve support efficiency. 
  • Knowledge Management: Create and maintain developer documentation including wikis, FAQs, and runbooks. Identify gaps from recurring issues and build self-service resources to reduce support volume. 
  • Data Analysis & Insights: Track support metrics, surface recurring patterns, and deliver actionable insights to engineering teams through regular reporting (weekly, monthly, quarterly). 
  • Code Contributions: Submit production-quality code — bug fixes, tooling improvements, and infrastructure enhancements. Code contributions are expected to increase over time. 
  • Cross-Team Partnership: Collaborate across engineering organizations to share oncall best practices, AI workflows, and developer experience insights.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field 
  • Software engineering background with the ability to read, write, and debug production code 
  • Experience with developer tooling, IDE ecosystems, or developer workflows 
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills 
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: TypeScript, JavaScript, Python 
  • Familiarity with Git and distributed version control systems 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate between engineering, product, and user perspectives

Strongly Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with AI/ML tools, LLMs, or AI-assisted development workflows 
  • Experience building or contributing to IDE extensions or developer tools 
  • Familiarity with React, Node.js, or modern frontend frameworks 
  • Experience with CLI tooling development 
  • Background in source control internals or version control system workflows
  • Experience with technical support operations, oncall processes, or developer experience roles 
  • Demonstrated ability to build automation that reduces manual toil

Experience: 3-5 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
