About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Web Developer to help build and enhance our live-streaming experience. You will develop high-performance, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript while working with real-time data and video technologies such as HLS, WebRTC, and Media Source Extensions (MSE).

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Develop responsive, pixel-perfect UI components for live-streaming platforms.
  • Implement and optimize video players using Video.js, Hls.js, Shaka Player, or similar technologies.
  • Build real-time features such as live chat, reactions, and polling using WebSockets or SSE.
  • Develop broadcaster interfaces using browser media APIs for webcam, microphone, and screen sharing.
  • Optimize application performance, bundle size, state management, and DOM rendering.
  • Support reliable video playback across browsers and devices.

Required Skills

Frontend Development

  • 4+ years of professional React development experience.
  • Strong experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with state management such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive UI development using CSS-in-JS, Styled Components, Emotion, Tailwind CSS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with reusable components, custom React hooks, and component-driven development.
  • Frontend testing experience using Jest and React Testing Library.

Streaming & Media Experience – Highly Preferred

  • Experience with live-video streaming technologies such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, or WebRTC.
  • Knowledge of HTML5 video and Media Source Extensions (MSE).
  • Experience with browser Media APIs such as navigator.mediaDevices.
  • Experience integrating or customizing video players such as Hls.js, Video.js, or Shaka Player.
  • Experience working with asynchronous data streams and real-time technologies such as WebSockets.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building streaming analytics or dashboards tracking video QoS metrics such as startup time and bitrate.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based video ingestion or transcoding platforms such as AWS Elemental, Mux, or Livepeer.
  • Strong UI/UX sense and experience with animation libraries such as Framer Motion.

Areas of responsibility

Gathering of requirements-Assist in conducting workshops and discussions with client stakeholders to gather business process requirements.

Coding and Configuration-"Develop and deliver code for assigned modules, in alignment with client requirements ensuring proper integration with system components.

Testing and Trial Runs-"Execute testing for assigned modules, validate functionality across required interactions, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions.

Implementation-Participate in implementation of software application and its integration with other systems to ensure stability.

Maintain Documentation-Prepare detailed reports and documentation on project specifications, activities, and status, while presenting information using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, code comments, and clear, well-structured code.

Stakeholder Collaboration-Collaborate with cross functional teams  to understand requirements, support development activities, check system compatibility, and ensure solutions meet expected standards.

 

Mandatory Skills: Enterprise Platform Engineering FrontEnd .

 

Experience: 3-5 Years .

 

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $110,000 .

 

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro's standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.
