Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Android HMI Lead Engineer to lead the development and integration of next-generation infotainment user interfaces for vehicle programs. The candidate will be responsible for delivering intuitive, high-quality Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions on Android Automotive platforms while collaborating with global engineering teams, designers, architects, and product owners.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Android UI development and HMI design implementation. Exposure to Android Framework concepts is desirable; however, deep framework development experience is not mandatory. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, and a valid German driving license is required.

Area of Responsibility
Requirement Analysis-Participate in client discussions to gather information regarding platform constraints, technology stacks, and performance expectations of a specific technology.
Designing-Create low-level design inputs for assigned technology and provides technical viewpoints for specific components as per the standards and best practices.
Integration assessment and support-Assess and evaluate client technology environment to support integration of technology components and ensure system-level technical compatibility.
Troubleshooting-Support testing activities for technology components and work with developers and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot errors during deployment phases.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to develop, integrate, and deliver IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment) head unit software solutions that meet customer requirements and quality standards.
- Act as a bilingual customer-facing engineer, facilitating technical discussions, requirement clarifications, and status updates between customer and offshore development teams.
- Reproduce and analyze reported issues using vehicle or bench setups, collect diagnostic data, and provide detailed findings to offshore teams for efficient resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis, critical bug fixing, and troubleshooting of software integration and build-related issues to support timely project deliveries.
- Provide regular technical and project status updates to offshore management, proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and resolution plans.
- 10+ years of work experience in relevant field.
