Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to create high-level application architecture designs across modules and database layers, ensuring alignment with functional requirements and integration guidelines.

Area of Responsibility

Requirement Analysis-Coordinate with business and development teams to understand application-specific requirements relating to module-level needs, data flows, and integration expectations.

Designing-Create high level application architecture designs across application and database layers to ensure alignment with defined design guidelines, including frameworks, patterns, protocols, API design.

Integration assessment and support-Assess and evaluate application’s interaction with existing systems, databases, and infrastructure to validate integration feasibility.

Troubleshooting-Support application testing after deployment and help validate functional behaviour of application design.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EMS/NMS Developer to join our USM Project team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in telecom network management solutions, Java-based backend development, and network management protocols such as SNMP and NETCONF. You will be responsible for developing scalable EMS/NMS applications, integrating network elements, and building cloud-native solutions for telecom environments. The role requires hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Linux, containerization technologies, and modern cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain EMS/NMS applications for telecom network management.
  • Develop backend services using Core Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs.
  • Integrate and manage network communication using SNMP, NETCONF, and related protocols.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.
  • Develop and optimise database schemas using MySQL/MariaDB.
  • Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Linux-based environments.
  • Develop automation scripts using Shell Scripting.
  • Participate in cloud deployment and infrastructure management using OpenStack or AWS.
  • Ensure application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required Skills

  • 7-8 years of software development experience.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Core Java
    • Spring Boot
    • JavaScript
    • Hibernate
    • MySQL/MariaDB
    • REST APIs
    • Linux
    • Shell Scripting
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SNMP
    • NETCONF
    • EMS/NMS Solutions
    • Docker
    • Kubernetes
    • OpenStack or AWS
  • Experience in telecom OSS/EMS/NMS domain.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to YANG modelling.
  • Experience with Microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of FCAPS network management concepts.
  • Understanding of telecom network monitoring and provisioning systems.
  • Experience working in cloud-native telecom environments

 

Mandatory Skills: Telecom NMS Data Modelling South Bound .
