Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated AWS Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics and AI group at Wipro Technologies. This role centers on the architecting, implementation, and upkeep of scalable data pipelines within AWS cloud services to support business-critical data operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement data pipelines that efficiently and reliably ingest data from diverse sources including on-premises systems and cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue and other AWS services ensuring high data quality and resiliency.
• Architect solutions for data storage and retrieval leveraging data lakes (S3), data warehouses (Redshift), and relational databases (RDS, Aurora).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, product owners, and operations teams to align data architectures with business requirements.
• Lead the creation and deployment of serverless applications using Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, adhering to AWS best practices.
• Engage in continuous system performance tuning, cost optimization, and security enforcement.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and contribute to the establishment of organizational data engineering standards.
• Proactively explore and pilot new AWS technologies, driving innovation and modernization.

The role demands hands-on expertise in AWS services combined with a deep understanding of data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable data architectures.

• Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• Proficiency with extensive AWS toolset including Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda, EMR, Kinesis, SQS, API Gateway, and ElasticSearch.
• Experienced with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, enabling seamless deployment and maintenance of AWS resources.
• Knowledgeable in DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipeline implementations for data platforms to achieve rapid and reliable delivery.
• Familiarity with streaming data architectures using technologies like Amazon Kinesis, Kafka, and SQS for real-time analytics and processing pipelines.
• Advanced skills in migrating traditional databases and batch-oriented systems into modern, cloud-based data lake and warehouse environments.
• Strong understanding of lakehouse concepts, data governance, and compliance frameworks ensuring data stewardship resilience.
• Desirable certifications include AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer Certifications, demonstrating validated cloud expertise.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities paired with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
