Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced BMC Control M Architect to lead the design, development, and migration of enterprise batch scheduling solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience migrating jobs from other scheduling platforms to Control-M

     

Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Design: Design and implement enterprise-wide Control-M solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security for hybrid (mainframe, distributed, cloud) environments.
  • Workflow Automation: Develop complex job flows, calendars, dependencies, and recovery procedures for batch processing.
  • Integration: Integrate Control-M with other enterprise systems (Oracle EBS, databases, APIs, ETL tools) and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Optimization: Analyze and optimize job performance, reduce latency, and improve throughput.
  • Migration: migration of jobs from other schedulers (like autosys, UC4, TWS etc) to Control-M
  • Maintenance & Support: Manage the Control-M environment (upgrades, patching, DR), provide 3rd-line support, and handle critical production issues.
  • Scripting: Develop and maintain shell scripts (Unix/Linux), batch scripts (Windows), or Python to support workflows.

Technical Skills

  • 6–10 years of experience in Workload automation tools development and administration.
  • Deep expertise in BMC Control-M components, architecture, and utilities.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Unix Shell, Python).
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications (ERP, databases) and integration protocols (FTP, MQ, APIs).
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and cloud environments.
