Role Purpose


The purpose of this role is to analyse, identify, rectify & recommend specific improvement measures that help in the security posture of the organization by protecting the sensitive information
 

Bluecoat Proxy - ANALYST L4͏

Experienced Proxy Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong, hands‑on expertise in Bluecoat Proxy (Symantec/Broadcom) technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, tuning, optimisation, and support of enterprise proxy infrastructure to ensure secure and seamless internet access management.

  • Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of Bluecoat Proxy SG, Advanced Secure Gateway (ASG), and related components.
  • Support policy creation, URL filtering, SSL inspection, and request/response routing.
  • Troubleshoot complex proxy issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration challenges.
  • Optimise proxy policies to align with security standards and business requirements.
  • Work closely with Network Security, Architecture, and Cyber Operations teams to ensure robust outbound security controls.
  • Conduct health checks, performance assessments, and system upgrades.
  • Document architectures, configurations, SOPs, and support runbooks.
  • Provide SME-level guidance and knowledge transfer to internal technical teams.
  • Assist with proxy migration initiatives, transformation projects, or cloud‑proxy integrations. 
  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Bluecoat Proxy SG / ASG.
  • Strong knowledge of policy configuration, CPL scripting, URL categories, authentication mechanisms, and SSL interception.
  • Experience with Bluecoat Management Centre (BCC/BMC) and reporting.
  • Deep understanding of proxy‑based security models, outbound filtering, and secure web gateway concepts.
